InterImage Inc., a custom database and software developer, was hired by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency to market its week-long Minority Enterprise Development Week. Facing limited personnel, servers and bandwidth and a need for a scalable, easy-to-use hosted email solution, InterImage selected L-Soft’s EASE Maestro hosting service to run an email marketing campaign on behalf of MBDA.

Using L-Soft’s EASE Maestro, InterImage executed five email campaigns to more than 137,000 opt-in recipients; the first mailing (July 9, 2002) drove website traffic from an average of 233 unique visitors per day to 45,000 on campaign day, achieved an 86% open rate and a 3% click-through rate, increased attendee and exhibitor registrations, and dramatically reduced costs compared with the previous $75,000 direct-mail approach. L-Soft’s hosted solution required minimal training and enabled InterImage to deliver measurable results at much lower cost.
