IKEA, the international home furnishings retailer, had built an email database of over 100,000 opt-in addresses from its website but needed an efficient way to publicize its July 8–August 8 "Work At Home" promotion and deliver printable coupons to customers. After evaluating options, IKEA selected L-Soft and its LISTSERV-based EASE email list hosting service to manage the campaign and handle large one‑time mailings.

L-Soft implemented the LISTSERV/EASE service, using mail‑merge and high-throughput delivery to send emails linking recipients to a downloadable coupon. Of 140,000 notifications sent, more than 25% clicked the coupon link and roughly half of those downloaded the coupon, yielding a net success rate of over 12%—significantly better than traditional channels—and prompting IKEA to plan future use of L-Soft.
