CharityChannel is a global community of nonprofit professionals that faced rapid growth and need for scalable, reliable email discussion and collaboration tools. To move off a third‑party list processor and better support dozens of topic-based communities, hosting for professional chapters, and collaborative work across time zones, CharityChannel partnered with L-Soft to implement in‑house LISTSERV and LSMTP solutions.

With L-Soft’s LISTSERV and LSMTP, CharityChannel was able to host nearly 200 public and private lists, support dozens of donated and incubated nonprofit lists, and scale community collaboration for events like the CharityChannel Summit and the planned CharityUniversity. The platform helped the organization grow a worldwide community of more than 150,000 nonprofit professionals, achieve 65,000 list subscriptions, and enable measurable program incubation (for example, the Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank), all by removing barriers of time and distance.
