Bell, a major Canadian communications provider, needed to make billing information more accessible by offering a Bill Viewing service that sends monthly email reminders with links and promotions. The challenge was managing a large and growing customer database and delivering time-sensitive, high-volume personalized mailings across 10 billing cycles (over 1.2 million reminders every three days). CGI recommended L-Soft’s LISTSERV and LSMTP to meet these requirements.

L-Soft’s LISTSERV (HPO) and LSMTP Unlimited were implemented to integrate Bell’s database, perform personalized mail-merge, and deliver high-volume mail quickly. The solution scaled as subscriptions grew—now at 300,000 subscribers—with capacity to handle Bell’s full 12.6 million customer base, supported successful campaigns like eMove and event links, and produced strong customer engagement and positive feedback; L-Soft’s straightforward configuration also saved valuable resources.
