ASTC (Association of Science-Technology Centers) needed a reliable way to link informal science professionals across its global network and to manage an active discussion list without spam or heavy administrative overhead. To meet that need ASTC deployed L-Soft’s list management service (using L-Soft’s web-based list management interface and hosted archives) to run the ISEN-ASTC-L email list for educators, exhibit developers, evaluators and other museum professionals.

L-Soft implemented and hosted the ISEN-ASTC-L list, giving ASTC complete control of archives, easy web-based maintenance, and effective spam protection; three ASTC staff now jointly manage the list. The result: the list has grown to more than 1,000 subscribers in 30 countries, has become an “indispensable tool” for the science-center network, and requires minimal administration thanks to L-Soft’s platform.
