APAPO (American Psychological Association Practice Organization) needed a cost‑effective, timely way to deliver substantive, practice-focused information to a large, varied membership of roughly 60,000 licensed psychologists and graduate students. To reach busy practitioners with HTML-rich, skimmable content and reduce printing and mailing expenses, APAPO partnered with L-Soft and deployed its LISTSERVe/LISTSERV technology to power the PracticeUpdate electronic newsletter.
Using L-Soft’s LISTSERVe technology, APAPO publishes PracticeUpdate every three weeks—emailing HTML-formatted issues with photos, links and article summaries to about 60,000 recipients and posting content on APApractice.org. The L-Soft solution delivered measurable results: consistent, timely distribution of an average five-article issue, documented member satisfaction via surveys and feedback, and clear cost savings by eliminating much of the printing and mailing expense.
