Global Telecommunication Company, which had been delivering BI to 10K+ employees via MicroStrategy, faced rapidly degrading performance as data volumes and report complexity grew. Transferring billions of rows from the data lake caused timeouts, memory overloads and inconsistent response times, driving up costs and preventing the addition of new dimensions and measures. To address this, they engaged Kyvos Insights and its Smart OLAP™ BI acceleration platform.

Kyvos Insights implemented Smart OLAP™ cubes materialized on the data lake, migrated resource-heavy MicroStrategy cubes and built new cubes on raw data, enabling easy scale-out by adding nodes. The result: sub-second query responses (0.25–0.65s) on billions of rows, instant responses for thousands of concurrent users, incremental cube builds reduced from 30 minutes to 2 minutes, and lower overall MicroStrategy costs—while preserving compatibility with MicroStrategy, Tableau and Excel.
