A Kyriba Case Study

Implementing a BAM solution for the BBC

The BBC, a £5bn public service broadcaster with 21,000 employees, centralised its treasury in 2013 and discovered fragmented bank account management across two separate BAM databases. Those legacy systems lacked IT support, segregation of duties, workflow, reliable data and future-proofing for eBAM, prompting a project to implement a single, controlled global solution to reduce errors, strengthen controls and improve audit visibility.

The BBC chose Kyriba Enterprise’s cloud-based Bank Account Management solution. Kyriba now administers about 550 accounts across 80–100 banks in 54 currencies and manages roughly 1,000 signatories, delivering segregation of duties, workflow, secure document storage, improved cash visibility and stronger auditability—reducing operational risk and meeting the project’s objectives while leveraging the scalability and recovery benefits of SaaS.
