Bord Gáis Energy, working with Kyndryl, needed to improve the stability and security of its IT operations while freeing its infrastructure team from labor-intensive maintenance work. The company’s challenge was to reduce disruption from incidents and emergency patching so it could focus more time on delivering better customer experiences and supporting business growth.

Kyndryl helped Bord Gáis Energy implement Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Kyndryl Bridge, and AIops to automate incident management, security patching, and routine IT checks across its estate. The results included automatic diagnosis of 72% of ServiceNow issues, 40% end-to-end auto-resolution, a drop in Priority 1 incidents from 31 in 2018 to zero by 2020, and a zero-day patch deployed to more than 300 Windows servers in under six hours with no manual intervention.
