Kantar, a global marketing data and analytics business, had just nine months to separate its IT operations from its former parent company after being acquired by private equity. The company needed to quickly build an independent, cloud-ready technology environment while also changing its IT culture from reactive support to a more engineering-led, business-focused model. Kantar partnered with Kyndryl to help meet this urgent transformation challenge.

Kyndryl worked with Kantar to design a cloud-first IT organization, using a “one team” model with embedded counterparts across engineering, implementation, and BAU operations. The solution included Microsoft Azure, AWS, Nutanix HCI, ServiceNow, Red Hat Ansible, and Digital Experience Management, plus a new multilingual service desk for 26,000 employees. Results included retiring nearly 5,000 servers, consolidating thousands of workloads, transitioning all 26,000 colleagues to the new helpdesk in 17 languages across 90 regions, and improving productivity by 15%.
