Dow partnered with Kyndryl to improve device reliability and digital experiences for its 45,000 employees. The company needed to move beyond a reactive IT service model after repeated device crashes and slow application performance were affecting productivity and mission-critical work. Kyndryl helped Dow modernize its end-user device management approach, using Riverbed Aternity Digital Experience Management (DEM) and integrated asset tracking to better monitor and support the global fleet.

Kyndryl worked with Dow to shift from leasing to owning devices, add lifecycle data and automated remediation, and deploy fixes through Microsoft Azure for global distribution. The results included a 16% improvement in employee productivity, a 16% reduction in boot times, a 50% cut in system crashes, a 10% increase in device life, and a 5% improvement in essential application performance. Dow also reported a significant improvement in end-user experience and stronger overall system reliability.
