A leading outdoor media company faced the challenge of modernizing its outdated IT infrastructure, which included business-critical applications running on unsupported IBM Power hardware and an operating system. This legacy system posed a significant risk of business disruption. The company partnered with Kyndryl to facilitate a smooth migration to its parent company's chosen platform, Microsoft Azure.

Kyndryl implemented its Cloud Uplift solution to migrate the company's legacy IBM i Power workloads to the Azure cloud. This provided fully hosted and managed IBM Power hardware within Azure. The migration was completed without incident and included an upgrade to a supported operating system. As a result, Kyndryl eliminated the risk associated with the legacy hardware, provided seamless access to the public cloud, and granted the company new scalability and agility for its IT operations.
