A large European bank faced the challenge of modernizing its legacy systems and building a unique fintech platform. To support its vision for growth and improved capital efficiency, the bank needed a fit-for-purpose hybrid cloud strategy to remediate technical debt and balance agility with security. They partnered with Kyndryl to plan, design, and build this new environment.

Kyndryl, together with partners Microsoft and VMware, configured a Microsoft Azure VMware Solution (AVS) private cloud environment. Kyndryl then successfully migrated more than 3,500 workloads over six months with zero business interruption. The results included a more than 60% reduction in time for some batch jobs, significant cost savings, and a proven migration approach for modernizing the bank's remaining 15,000+ legacy workloads.
