Creating a global management system with SAP and Kyndryl solutions to enhance operational efficiency

TOA Corporation, a Japan‑headquartered manufacturer of professional audio equipment and CCTV surveillance cameras with operations in 31 countries, needed to unify regional systems and keep manufacturing, product planning and sales running smoothly around the clock. To achieve global visibility and agility for its core ERP, TOA engaged Kyndryl, using Enterprise Application Management for SAP Solutions on IBM Cloud to standardize and manage its SAP environment.

Kyndryl migrated TOA’s SAP ERP to a managed cloud environment—upgrading the database, replacing SQL Server 2008 with 2012, and moving systems to IBM’s Tokyo data center—while providing SAP Basis operations and preventive support. The work enabled a rollout to 20 sites in 15 countries (completed rapidly, with the Tokyo migration done in three months), reduced IT infrastructure costs and regional maintenance workloads, improved system availability and performance, and created a stable platform for new cloud services; TOA reports no SAP issues since Kyndryl’s implementation.
