International Sports & Gaming Operator, a global gambling business serving 5 million customers across multiple sports betting and gaming brands, needed to ingest and analyze massive real-time betting data with extremely low latency. The company processes hundreds of thousands of market reads per second, with peak periods of tens of thousands of bet transactions per second, while also trying to improve visibility into fraudulent activity. KX Systems’ kdb Insights and streaming analytics capabilities were evaluated for this high-frequency, mission-critical environment.

KX Systems implemented a streaming analytics solution that could efficiently ingest and process compressed real-time price data at scale, including up to 130 MB per second during major events. The result was dramatically improved efficiency: where other vendors proposed 70 CPU cores, KX could ingest the same volume in less than 1 CPU core. This gave International Sports & Gaming Operator faster, more accurate real-time data capture with much less infrastructure, helping support more than 350,000 market reads per second and transaction volumes exceeding those of all financial exchanges combined.
