Edge-enabled processing for real-time asset monitoring

International Oil and Gas company, a global energy services provider with 40,000+ employees operating across 70+ countries, needed seamless operational intelligence and real-time monitoring for remote oil wells in areas with poor connectivity. KX helped address the challenge by enabling edge processing for telemetry and operational data, improving visibility into well health, yield, and oil quality while supporting centralized fleet coordination and lower operating costs.

KX embedded its technology in the company’s truck fleet communication systems to pre-process data at the edge, run predictive maintenance models, and support remote monitoring of around 150 oil wells. The solution also integrated Python libraries, RabbitMQ connectivity, user interfaces for telemetry, and remote reconfiguration, resulting in improved monitoring and maintenance of remote assets, added fault detection, and reduced development costs through reuse of existing Python models.
