SNCF monitors 1,000 connected equipment assets with Kuzzle

SNCF Gares & Connexions, a division of the French national railway company, faced the challenge of remotely monitoring and controlling equipment at its Aix-en-Provence TGV station to optimize maintenance and energy expenditure. The company called on Kuzzle and its open-source IoT platform to collect and manage data from a large number of connected devices in real time.

Kuzzle implemented its IoT platform to connect over 1,000 pieces of station equipment, including lighting, elevators, and HVAC systems. The solution provided real-time data visualization and generated approximately 50 maintenance alerts per day, enabling SNCF to prevent hardware failures, trigger preventive maintenance, and significantly reduce its energy consumption.
