Midwest Dry-mill Ethanol Plant keeps iron below 0.10 ppm for 6+ months with Kurita America

A Midwest dry-mill ethanol plant required a complete, FDA-approved boiler treatment solution for its startup. The facility needed a safe product for its operations and faced significant challenges with boiler blowdown, which caused intermittent operation and a high potential for corrosion. Kurita America provided a tailored solution using its Cetamine boiler technology.

Kurita America implemented its all-organic Cetamine V217K program along with a mechanical fix for the blowdown issue and remote monitoring via eLink software. The solution stabilized water quality, reduced product consumption, and lowered water usage. Results included consistently low iron levels, a successful state boiler inspection, and significant operational cost savings. The plant continues to maintain excellent results with this simplified program from Kurita America.
