City of Elkhorn removes iron, arsenic and radium with Kurita America, saving millions of gallons per year

The City of Elkhorn needed to replace its aging water treatment system used to remove iron, arsenic, and radium from its groundwater supply. The city, a long-standing customer of Kurita America, sought a new solution that would provide additional reaction time and more robust treatment.

Kurita America implemented its Dualator III packaged groundwater treatment system for aeration, detention, and filtration, followed by a RidION system for ion exchange. This integrated solution provided reliable and safe drinking water, offered operational flexibility, and saved millions of gallons of water annually thanks to its efficient Simul-Wash backwash process. The new system also positioned the City of Elkhorn for future expansion.
