A Central Florida hospital faced challenges with high corrosion, significant condensate loss, and uncontrolled pH levels in its steam plant, which increased its water, energy, and chemical costs. Seeking to improve water quality and reduce operational expenses, the hospital partnered with Kurita America.

Kurita America implemented its EnergyOUT water treatment solution, a leased reverse osmosis system requiring no capital outlay. The program delivered immediate reductions in chemical, energy, and water usage. Results included saving over 290,000 pounds of CO2 emissions annually, an additional $30,000 in chemical savings, a 75% reduction in boiler blowdown, and an 80% reduction in condensate treatment chemical consumption, with all lease costs covered by the operational savings.
