Canada's National Ballet School's Virtual Alumni Party

Canada’s National Ballet School, a mid-size performing arts institution in Toronto, wanted to celebrate its 60th year by bringing together alumni and current community members in a way that felt personal and social despite being online. The school used Kumospace’s Virtual Events product to host a virtual alumni party alongside panel discussions and other anniversary programming.

Kumospace helped Canada’s National Ballet School create an interactive event space designed around different eras of the school, with themed rooms like a speakeasy, disco diner, and local bars, plus spaces resembling the school’s dining room and classroom. The event drew around 250 attendees, received strong feedback from leadership, and gave participants an easy way to move around, mingle, and reconnect—making the virtual experience feel closer to an in-person cocktail reception.
