Lewis Latimer House Museum launches 4 interactive exhibitions with Kudos Design Collaboratory

The Lewis Latimer House Museum, dedicated to the legacy of the self-taught inventor and son of self-emancipated enslaved people, sought to create engaging and educational exhibits that honor his story. The museum partnered with Kudos Design Collaboratory to develop a series of interactive installations that would bring Latimer's history and inventions to life for visitors in a modern and accessible way.

Kudos Design Collaboratory created four distinct interactive exhibits, including the INVENTION MACHINE with 3D blueprints, the TOGETHER WE RISE portrait wall with a hand-crank navigator, the POETRY MACHINE for an audio-visual experience, and the LATIMER BUZZ SELFIE APP for visitor souvenirs. These combined digital and physical solutions successfully educated and entertained visitors, providing a memorable and inspiring experience rooted in Latimer's groundbreaking legacy.
