Kubernetes provided the orchestration layer Nerdalize needed, running customer clusters on top of a VM layer across its heating devices. With Kubernetes, Nerdalize launched a 100% containerized, Kubernetes-native cloud service, reduced costs by up to 40%, and helped customers spin up environments in minutes instead of a full day. Kubernetes also supported Nerdalize’s sustainability mission, enabling households to save on heating bills while cutting about 2 tons of CO2 per home each year.
