How Kubernetes is Enabling the Edtech Solution's Global Expansion

Prowise, a Dutch edtech company based in Budel, needed a more flexible way to support rapid growth across Europe, Australia, and the U.S. Its Linux-based infrastructure on Microsoft Azure was struggling with versioning, scaling, and running multiple products and teams on the same platform.

To solve this, Prowise adopted containerization and used **Kubernetes**, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), to orchestrate its applications and modernize CI/CD. With **Kubernetes**, deployments dropped from about an hour to seconds, release frequency increased from quarterly to monthly and even hourly in some cases, and bug fixes could be pushed to production within minutes with zero downtime. The team also brought a new production environment online in less than a day and was able to launch new services much faster with less operational overhead.
