A Krane Case Study
UCSF Helen Diller Hospital, a healthcare facility, faced significant challenges in managing the complex materials and procurement process for its major expansion. The project involved disconnected tracking systems, limited visibility into vendor-supplied materials, and delays from misaligned submittals and purchase orders. This led to site congestion and a high administrative burden. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Krane to streamline their supply chain.
Krane implemented a centralized system, integrating its GC Procurement, Delivery, and Autolog modules to connect bills of materials, submittals, and purchase orders into a single source of truth. The solution provided real-time visibility and proactive coordination, saving over seven days per scope in pre-construction and resolving issues ten times faster. Krane’s platform resulted in an 18x improvement in supply chain efficiency, with reduced delays, waste, and rework for the hospital project.
