University of Insubria bridges the hybrid gap with Kramer AV

The University of Insubria in Italy faced the challenge of supporting hybrid learning following the COVID-19 pandemic. The university needed to integrate new AV technologies with its existing platforms to create a fluid and engaging experience for both in-class and remote participants, all while ensuring the systems were intuitive for teachers to use and would encourage a return to physical classrooms. To address this, they partnered with vendor Kramer for a solution involving products like the VS-62DT matrix switcher, TP-583T/R transmitters, and RC-208 control keypads.

Kramer implemented a unified AV solution across multiple classrooms and lecture halls, with a central matrix and HDBT transmission at the core. The result was a simplified, identical control dashboard for teachers in every room, enabling easy use of a rich array of tools. The solution fully supported hybrid learning, preventing declines in enrollment and ensuring lessons were immersive for all students regardless of location. The university reported excellent value for money and robust performance from the Kramer systems, with plans to expand the installation to achieve 100% coverage across all campuses.
