The Portuguese Language Museum Speaks Kramer

The Portuguese Language Museum, a unique institution in São Paulo, Brazil, faced the challenge of creating the world's longest multi-projector image, a 106-meter-long display requiring 36 separate XGA signals. Designer Peter Lindquist of KJPL ARbyte needed a cost-effective and reliable solution to send these signals over long distances, with cable runs up to 120 meters. After finding KVM solutions too expensive, he sought an alternative and discovered Kramer's XGA over CAT-5 technology at a trade show.

Kramer provided a solution using 36 pairs of its PT-110 and PT-120 XGA over CAT-5 transmitters and receivers. This system reliably delivered the high-resolution video signals over long, economical CAT-5 cables, creating the massive, seamless image. The successful implementation led to the museum's inauguration in 2006, where it was visited by over 206,000 people in its first four months, demonstrating the profound impact of the Kramer AV installation.
