The Pensacola Naval Air Station required a complete rebuild of its weather-damaged conference facilities to support high-speed, high-quality audio/video communications for training and classified briefings. Their challenge was to create a versatile, user-friendly, and reliable system capable of handling multiple digital video sources. They partnered with vendor Kramer and systems integrator PCS to implement a solution.

Kramer's solution utilized their VP-724DS ProScale scaler/switchers in each of the 11 conference rooms, supported by a Sierra Video Systems matrix switcher for central signal routing. This "hub and spoke" configuration provided rapid, high-quality signal distribution, glitch-free switching, and dedicated secure lines for classified information. The result was a seamless, top-quality, and dependable system that met all technical requirements.
