Kramer Opens Gateway to HDMI System

Gateway Community College, a part of the largest community college district in the US, faced the challenge of designing state-of-the-art, standardized A/V classrooms that were intuitive to use and could handle both digital and analog content. Their goal was to reduce technical support needs and costs for new and remodeled buildings. After comparing options, they selected Kramer's infrastructure, including the VP-729 ProScale digital scaler/switcher, to serve as the core of their solution.

The solution implemented by Kramer provided a standardized, easy-to-use classroom backbone capable of displaying any analog or digital device. The college equipped its classrooms with Kramer scaler/switchers and twisted pair transmitters/receivers, creating identical systems that operate the same way in every room. This design achieved the college's goals of simplicity and reliability. Additionally, the Kramer system allows for the broadcast of essential emergency messages to students in all equipped classrooms.
