A Kramer Case Study
The Kyiv Underground Railway System needed to update its 44-year-old passenger communication system to provide high-resolution video for advertisements and station information in its train cars. The challenge was finding a reliable, high-quality AV solution that could withstand the subway's electrical interference and noisy environment. They turned to vendor Kramer for a solution, which included line amplifiers and high-resolution XGA distribution amplifiers.
Kramer implemented a robust network using its VP-300N and VP-200xl amplifiers to distribute a stable XGA signal to over 3,200 monitors across 570 train cars. The solution was highly successful, with more than 2,000 Kramer machines installed. The result was a high-quality, interference-resistant system that met all the Underground's stringent requirements for information dissemination and advertising, serving its 1.5 million daily passengers.
