Kramer AVoIP Helps an Alabama Emergency Operations Center Respond to Anything

The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency, a government body in Alabama, needed to upgrade its outdated emergency operations center with a more flexible, reliable, and easy-to-use audiovisual system. The primary challenge was to unify control of disparate displays so staff could effortlessly manage and share critical information during emergencies. To meet this need, they selected an AV-over-IP solution from Kramer.

Kramer's solution, utilizing KDS-EN6 encoders and KDS-DEC6 decoders, centralized control and allowed content to be managed from smartphones and iPads, vastly improving operational workflow. The new system provided the required versatility for both emergencies and daily use, such as training sessions. The Kramer implementation also delivered inherent expandability, allowing the agency to easily and cost-effectively add new equipment in the future. Staff reported that the system was intuitive for non-technical users and that Kramer's customer support was outstanding throughout the process.
