Home Theater Soars to New Heights with Kramer

Kramer, along with partner Sierra Video Systems, was selected by Aerostyl to tackle the challenge of installing a luxury home theater system in a private Tupolev 154 airliner. The goal was to provide a versatile selection of high-quality video and audio entertainment to each of the airplane’s four distinct passenger compartments, transforming the jet's interior into a luxurious experience.

The solution implemented by Kramer utilized a Sierra Video Systems matrix switcher and multiple Kramer PT-102A and VM-30AV distribution amplifiers to route video and audio signals throughout the aircraft. This allowed passengers in any compartment to independently select entertainment from various sources using individual remote controls. The result was a seamless, high-quality audio and video experience for passengers, successfully bringing the luxury of a home theater environment into the air.
