Casino Niagara “Falls” for Kramer and Sierra Video Systems

Casino Niagara, a casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario, sought to reinvent its facility to attract a younger audience and increase business through high-impact entertainment features. They partnered with vendor Kramer and its subsidiary Sierra Video Systems to overcome the challenge of distributing video signals to over 100 displays throughout a newly redesigned space, which included a massive three-story media tree.

Kramer and Sierra Video Systems implemented a solution using twisted pair transmitters and receivers from Kramer and a series of matrix switchers from Sierra. This system flawlessly routed video from various sources across long distances, utilizing single-wire CAT5 cabling to meet space constraints. As a result, Casino Niagara successfully increased its business, and the new equipment allowed its crew to manage the complex, constantly changing content flawlessly, bringing a Las Vegas-like experience to its clientele.
