Alvernia University upgrades with Kramer’s digital switching solution

Alvernia University, a private Catholic university in Pennsylvania, sought to expand the reach of its classes and events across its three campuses. Their challenge was to seamlessly integrate and manage advanced AV technologies for distance learning and community events in their media suite facility. They partnered with vendor Kramer for a digital switching solution.

Kramer implemented a system using various twisted pair transmitters/receivers, a matrix switcher, and digital scaler/switchers to allow multiple users to easily control all AV sources. The solution provided intuitive and reliable technology that worked for users of all skill levels. According to the university, the focus is now on instruction as the technology is easy to use and does not get in the way of the content. The Kramer solution's reliability and value were cited as being of utmost importance for the educational client.
