Jobteaser, Europe's leading HR platform for students and graduates, needed to replace its custom internal API gateway to support new public APIs for its partners. The challenge was to find a robust solution from vendor KrakenD that could provide standards-based authentication, OpenAPI documentation, and better performance without requiring a major refactoring of their existing legacy and distributed infrastructure.

KrakenD was implemented as the core API gateway, seamlessly handling all incoming requests after Cloudflare. The solution provided the versatility to migrate legacy endpoints without breaking changes, support for gRPC and other backend technologies, and the ability to generate standard OpenAPI documentation. As a result, Jobteaser successfully launched its public APIs, validated the gateway's performance, and signed a multi-year contract with KrakenD, committing to its long-term use for both internal and partner-facing services.
