Open Room Inc, a Tokyo-based real estate startup, wanted to improve how agents and end-users access real estate applications while keeping the experience fast, secure, and simple to build. Using KrakenD API Gateway, the company aimed to reduce latency, lower bandwidth use, and better secure applications that were previously hard to protect.

KrakenD helped Open Room group backend calls by frontend use case, filter and remap data to reduce payload size, validate JWT tokens, and forward identity information securely to backends. As a result, Open Room reduced query latency and AWS API Gateway costs, improved development speed through easy backend mocking, and has run KrakenD in production and staging since 2018 with no downtime.
