Praxair upgrades 1,600 Cognos reports for 600 users with KPI Partners

Praxair, a major worldwide industrial gases company, needed to upgrade its IBM Cognos Analytics environment to the latest version. This project involved retiring old hardware and migrating user security to be driven by Active Directory instead of a separately maintained system. They selected KPI Partners, their existing managed services provider, to handle this upgrade.

KPI Partners first conducted an evaluation that determined an on-premise solution was most suitable. Their team then defined new hardware requirements, worked with infrastructure architects to set up servers, and planned the security integration with Active Directory. KPI successfully upgraded approximately 1,600 reports that serve about 600 users. The solution implemented by KPI Partners provided Praxair with a supported, modern platform that increased system performance, improved security, and opened the gateway to new advanced analytics capabilities.
