Lam Research automates image defect analysis and cuts reporting costs with KPI Partners

Lam Research, a major semiconductor equipment manufacturer, needed to increase agility and cut costs by moving away from SAP Hana and consolidating to the Azure cloud. They also sought to provide near real-time reporting to stakeholders using Power BI and adopt a more agile approach to cross-functional analytics. To address this challenge, they selected vendor KPI Partners through a rigorous RFP process.

KPI Partners designed and implemented an Azure solution, utilizing IoT Central for real-time data ingestion and a data warehouse to consolidate data from various sources. They migrated reports from Qlik Sense and MS Dynamics 365 to Power BI and delivered automated data standardization. The solution provided significant business benefits, including an optimized and automated reporting process for image defect analysis, closed data gaps, and new capabilities for users to view and analyze part inspection data and images directly within Power BI.
