A KPA Case Study
Rappahannock Electrical Cooperative, a large member-owned electric utility serving 22 Virginia counties, faced challenges building a culture of safety accountability across 450 employees (250 outdoor workers) and some 300 vehicles. The cooperative needed timely, accurate incident and safety reporting, wanted to convert 30+ paper forms to a mobile-friendly system for a largely non‑tech workforce, and required better data for trend analysis — so they selected KPA and its KPA Flex EHS software platform.
KPA implemented the KPA Flex mobile platform with hands-on support and fast form migration (more than 10 new forms set up), delivering an intuitive app for field staff and improved workflows. As a result, Rappahannock Electrical Cooperative reports easier user adoption, greater reporting accuracy and timeliness, improved management of vehicle and safety-equipment inspections, the ability to map data to specific workers and vehicles, and observable reductions in preventable vehicle-incident management overhead — outcomes driven by KPA’s solution.
