A KPA Case Study
Express Energy Services, a leading provider of well construction and testing for the U.S. oil and gas industry, needed a mobile solution in 2019 after a major customer required QR-code check-ins and the company faced challenges communicating with a largely remote, non‑email-using field workforce. They evaluated and selected KPA’s EHS software (formerly iScout) to meet the QR-code requirement and improve field communications, incident reporting, and safety management.
KPA rolled out its EHS software across Express Energy Services, providing QR check-ins, push notifications, offline access to forms and SOPs, and a Learning Management System that moved 20–150 annual four‑hour HSE trainings to mobile—reducing classroom costs and boosting adoption. The platform delivered real‑time incident alerts, helped reduce safety incidents, improved customer satisfaction and retention, enabled Express to win and retain accounts, and led acquirer Butch’s to extend KPA to about 600 additional employees.
