Major Equipment Insurance Provider needed to move thousands of artifacts from HP ALM to Microsoft VSO (Visual Studio Online) after changing internal development processes. They required preservation of hierarchical test-plan folders, requirements, tests, defects, inter-relationships (requirement/test/defect coverage), and attachments, with no staging run and minimal margin for error. Requirements became VSO Product Backlog Items, tests and folder structures were rebuilt in VSO, defects and attachments were migrated and relationship links preserved; QuickSync provided monitoring, logs and retry for failures.
