Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab (HTSL), the R&D arm of Honeywell, faced fragmented workflows across requirement writers, development, QA and project management teams, making it difficult to track requirement status and relationships to design, builds and defects. HTSL needed a unified application to manage requirements, test cases, design elements and defects while integrating with SCM (Subversion/ClearCase) and defect tracking (JIRA). Kovair Software’s Application Lifecycle Management Solution (ALM Studio) was chosen to address these challenges.

Kovair Software implemented a fully custom‑configured, codeless ALM Studio that established end‑to‑end traceability (projects, requirements, design elements, test designs, test cases, test runs and defects), federated access to SVN/ClearCase file contents on demand, and automated defect flow to JIRA. As a result, HTSL met its requirements‑management objectives for the REM and HTSL projects, eliminated siloed status visibility, ensured stakeholders worked in a common work area with fewer surprises, and successfully completed a customized, complex use case—leaving Honeywell compliant and satisfied with the outcome.
