City of Rotterdam Adopts Kotobee for Interactive Ebook Series

The City of Rotterdam wanted to educate its inhabitants about subsoil infrastructure through a series of interactive ebooks. Their primary challenge was finding a solution that would allow these ebooks to run on both Apple and Android devices, a requirement their previous system, Apple iBooks Author, could not meet. They turned to Kotobee Author for a solution.

Kotobee provided a versatile platform that supported offline use on both iOS and Android tablets, offering the required book-like experience. A key feature was the ability to implement and adapt HTML5 widgets with custom code. The Kotobee support team was also noted as being helpful and swift, contributing to the selection. The first ebook in the series was successfully launched and made available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, with the number of downloads being a key metric for the newly launched product.
