Phil-Am Food, an Asian/Filipino specialty supermarket in Jersey City, NJ and the largest online Filipino grocery store on the East Coast, had a rigid ecommerce platform that limited customization, prevented displaying custom shipping rates, hindered frequent inventory updates, and forced customers to create accounts to check out. Phil-Am Food retained Kosmos Central to replace its previous RMS ecommerce provider and modernize its online store using X-Cart, Web Store Integration and POS integration with Microsoft Dynamics RMS.

Kosmos Central implemented a redesigned X-Cart-based ecommerce site, Web Store integration and custom development to sync inventory with the physical store, enable discounted shipping rates, and give the owner full back-end control. The Kosmos Central solution nearly doubled site traffic within four months, saw sales nearly double in the first month and then increase by about 15% month-over-month for the following three months, while improving operational efficiency and predictable hosting costs.
