West Valley-Mission Community College District, which supports Mission College and West Valley College and runs Datatel Colleague on an IBM UniData platform, faced dispersed data across hundreds of tables and a cumbersome process of exporting CSVs to SQL Server for reporting. To consolidate and simplify reporting while keeping UniData as the production system, the District selected Kore Technologies and its Kourier Integrator for U2 to build a consolidated SQL Server data warehouse.

Kore Technologies implemented Kourier Integrator for U2 along with its SQL Accelerator and Net Change Tracking, bringing an initial warehouse online in weeks and a complete student, HR, and finance reporting solution in five months. Net Change reduced full-file refreshes from six–eight hours to seconds for their 60GB SQL Server database (enabling 15‑minute updates), the SQL Accelerator auto-generated SSIS packages to speed deployment, and the solution—integrated with IBM Cognos 8.4 and the District’s CMS—improved reporting timeliness and reduced IT effort and total cost of ownership.
