Hundreds of Hours Saved Using Near Real‐Time IntegraƟon Between Colleague and SQL Server

Wittenberg University, a liberal arts institution with about 1,800–2,000 students and 450–500 faculty and staff, faced a challenge accessing data trapped in Colleague’s UniData ERP. To gain broader, easier access to campus data (including disconnected systems like the housing lottery and SharePoint), Wittenberg engaged Kore Technologies and its solution for Colleague to address the closed UniData environment.

Kore Technologies implemented its Operational Data Store (ODS) powered by Kourier Integrator to normalize UniData into a Microsoft SQL Server warehouse and synchronize changes in near real-time using Net Change technology. The integration enabled online housing lottery and rental workflows, saved “hundreds of hours” in the housing department, provides campus-wide updates every few minutes, and consolidated 30 years of alumni data for export to Salesforce—demonstrating measurable time savings and greatly expanded data availability.
