Health Care Products Distributor uses Kourier Integrator to Move UniData Data to SQL Server Data Warehouse

National Distribution and Contracting (NDC), a large independent medical, surgical and dental products distributor, relied on the Prelude ERP running on UniData (a MultiValue database) and struggled to generate reports or reliably share data with its Microsoft SQL Server systems. ODBC-based approaches were slow and cumbersome for MultiValue fields, so NDC selected Kourier Integrator from Kore Technologies to extract and transform UniData data into a relational data warehouse and support its web-based e-commerce needs.

Kore Technologies implemented Kourier Integrator (with SQL Server loading) in under two weeks, using Net Change Tracking to push only changed data to a 19 GB SQL Server and enabling open-order updates every 10 minutes. The project grew from 20 exported tables to 50–60, completed six integration projects (BI reporting, rebate accounting, sales incentives, chain-of-custody tracking, and e-commerce), and delivered a payback in less than a year while giving NDC near–real-time access to critical data.
