Wittusen & Jensen - Customer Case Study

Wittusen & Jensen, a Norwegian supplier of office and marketing supplies with about 200 employees and ~600 million NOK turnover, needed to boost time- and cost-efficiency when moving into new facilities. They selected Körber AG (via Körber Supply Chain DK) to provide an advanced picking storage solution based on K.Store miniload cranes with multi-retrievers, chosen for its unique ability to handle parcels and totes and because of a long-standing partnership.

Körber AG implemented three K.Store miniload cranes with multi-retrievers, integrated conveyors, PLC control, infeed and pick stations and turnkey project management. The system automates 90% of picking, handles up to 3,700 orders/day and supports up to 50,000 storage locations with items in original packaging or system-specific totes, delivering lower total cost of ownership, higher throughput per FTE and on-time, on-budget commissioning.
