Tchibo GmbH, a German coffee retailer and one of Germany’s largest retail chains, faced complex logistics from a network of small warehouses and a lack of standardization across locations. To tackle these challenges, Tchibo partnered with Körber AG and implemented a suite of solutions including Distributed Order Management, a Warehouse Management System, Yard Management System, Warehouse Control System, RFID and a complete IT infrastructure.

Körber AG consolidated Tchibo’s footprint into a central high-bay warehouse with a few regional distribution centers and deployed the above systems, streamlining operations and increasing transparency. The implementation optimized the warehouse network, delivered high availability and fail‑over security, and minimized processing times to enable faster order handling across Tchibo’s distribution network.
