Storage optimisation with high-bay warehouse implementation

Sineurope, one of Asia’s largest premium seafood suppliers, faced growing storage and operational challenges: limited land in Singapore, rising energy and cooling costs in 24/7 cold storage, and difficulties staffing harsh sub‑zero environments. Körber AG was engaged to deliver an automated solution, including an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and a Warehouse Management System (WMS), to increase density, improve energy efficiency, and reduce reliance on manual processes.

Körber AG implemented a 31‑metre‑high freezer‑rated automated high‑bay warehouse with a pallet stacker crane and two Autonomous Satellite Vehicles (ASV), creating more than 2,800 pallet locations and shrinking the required footprint from about 1,900 sqm to 435 sqm. The ASRS plus WMS integration eliminated the need for external storage, cut cooling energy loss by removing human intervention in cold zones, addressed labour shortages, and delivered measurable annual savings and higher operational efficiency.
